For projects requiring natural or organic certification, ingredients are screened against approved ECOCERT/COSMOS ingredient lists prior to formulation.

Only ingredients with verified certification documentation may be used in ECOCERT COSMOS-aligned products, ensuring full compliance with certification requirements.

Feasibility & Ingredient Screening

R&D reviews formulation feasibility, ingredient compatibility, regulatory considerations and ECOCERT COSMOS compliance where applicable.

Existing formulations are also screened to ensure sufficient diversification and protection of client intellectual property.

Gate 2

Formula Development & Technical Setup

R&D creates controlled formulation master data including:

Formula Bill of Materials (BOM)
Method of Manufacture (MOM)
Defined product specifications
Mandatory pH targets and QC test requirements

These elements ensure formulations are technically scalable and production-ready.

Gate 3

Prototype & Sampling

Proof-of-concept samples are manufactured under controlled conditions, typically ranging from 50 g to 250 g laboratory samples, allowing performance evaluation prior to scale-up.

Gate 4

Quality Evaluation & Refinement

Samples undergo internal evaluation, testing and client review.

Where adjustments are required, formulations are refined through controlled version updates.

Client Approval & Production Handover

Once approved, the formulation is transferred to the production setup with full documentation including ingredient listings and manufacturing specifications.
